Was just looking at an exam solution in the leaving certificate and it looks easy but could someone tell me why g=3f?

If you subtract the second equation from the first, you are left with

    -4g + 12f = 0

    Hence, g=3f, hope that helps!

Ah yes, I knew it was something really simple, just couldn't see it.
    Thanks a lot!
