Rate the race: Round 3 - Chinese Grand Prix

Im not going to lie watching a race with constant ad breaks, commentary in a language I don't understand, no live timing and only intermittent access to twitter means that I have literally no idea if this race was any good!

If you were able to watch the race, understand the commentary and follow what was going on youre a much better judge then me as to whether todays race was any good!

Joking aside, I'd go with about a 6 for this race. The excitement at the end with Vettel on a charge was pretty good...but apart from that it was more strategic than action

Good craic for a dry race without safety car.
Would give strong 8 or even 9 if back straight DRS zone would have been ditched or at least half shorter.

Webber will do well next year with the Porsche......with driving like that.


Vettel was dying to shout and curse after the race.

He was biting his tongue when the beeb were interviewing him about getting 4th place and missing out on the podium.


Perez needs to stop weaving around so much...hes gonna cause a bad accident soon,if hes not carefull.


The race was good and intersting to watch.

gave it a 6, with a bit more of a battle at the front it might have been a 7, track not the best either

Was very predictable.
A few battles made it a little exciting and the end was a bit exciting as well but it was pretty easy to see who the top 3 were gonna be. Alonso with the best overall package. Lotus not having the speed and downforce but good with its tyres. Merc having speed but not very good with tyres. Also was predictable Vettel would go on softs near the end and attack for a podium.

I gave it a six probably because of a few things really, my own bias mostly.

1) Alonso won
2) Vettel not on podium
3) The Vettel/Hamilton chase
4) The few incidents eg Kimi

But when I remove those, it was pretty dire I agree

Bring back refueling and unlimited tyres.

We want to see racing not engineers racing each other.

I thought it was fairly good, ok the DRS and tyres are "artificial" but I think these races are a lot more entertaining compared to when I started watching in the 90's.

Keep it up I say, not go backwards

I'm a bit bitter - I had the race recorded, all setup to watch it and checked rte and had the result ruined. Gutted.

Was still a race worth watching but once Alonso was out in front the real battle was over. Last lap was exciting though.

I'll be honest, I might have rated the race an 8 but now I think it's worth a 7.

I agree that the tyre limit should be done away with, at least for qualifying.
