    Hi Lads!
Would have loving to be able to see this game today. But have commitments that mean i can't travel + being from kilkenny and living in dublin it would be a bit of an expense. If i can't get to see it on tv. I want to know is there any radio stations that are on the net that will be commentating on this game?

    Thanks

It is not on tv live but tg4 will do a defferreed full coverage at 5.30.
103 fm cork cork county sound or clare fm will do it live.Im not sure about accessing these online.
Rte radio one will probably do the football mainly.
If all else fails Cork GAA on twitter is very good,it gave regular updates on the minor match thursday night.

11 to 7 points at half time. Think Cork played with the strong wind in the first half but not too sure, going by twitter updates here.

Edit: Woops,Thought this was a game thread!

Delighted that Clare retain 1A status, I think it will really stand to them. But I still think it is a disgrace that Cork will go down... IMHO 1A should be expanded for the good of hurling.

Once again, hurling serves up a fantastic game.

Well done Clare, well deserved. Apparently their half back line was utterly dominant when it mattered. Cork have serious problems in the half forward line (probably for the last 7 or 8 years) that they can't seem to find a solution to.

I agree with you, but all the teams knew how it was at the season's start. It wasn't like 2 seasons ago, when Limerick won promotion from 1B, only for Central Council to change the rules after and deny them promotion. Now that WAS a disgrace.

It will do hurling a World of good to have two decent divisions and having a big name down in division 2. If your happy with hurling being so poor as to have only one division that people care about then thats fine but maybe after a few years this might spark interest in division 2 and bring the teams in that division on leaps and bounds. I am sick of watching a two horse race the last 6/7 years.

I'm gutted today but I like many Cork fans im sure, don't want the rules changed ,and for Cork to stay up by default.
We showed we were not good enough today and all through the league to stay up, so we don't deserve to be in the top division.
You got to earn to your right for Top flight Status,we did not.We are where we are.

True its not a good day for Cork hurling. We might struggle to come up to 1A next year from 1B with Limerick there. Dark days/years ahead.

What is a match thread discussing league reform? IMVHO, having an 8 team league puts too much pressure on an already full calendar, it'll mean that it'll take 3 months to get through the league and there'll be league matches interfering with championship games.

Anyway, back to the game, great win for Clare, I don't think we ever looked like scoring a goal and had some very bad wides, but the heart that was shown to bring the game back was great to see.

Dark days indeed, but the warning signs have been there for ages.
The CCB has played a huge part in this but wait for the press release.
They will say the usal thats its very comepitive, the league, and we were unlucky, its a young cork team but no need to panic.Remember this Clare Squad has 14 of the U21 teams of the past and are way younger than us but crucially like we had in 97 and 98 ,lads that won u21 all irelands and came from a winning Culture.
These Cork players are used to loosing.
Old habits die hard.Clare are used to winning.
And wait for the best line of the day, they love to say time and again"Cork have no given right to be in Div 1 and these things are part of life etc.
Instead of calling a spade a spade and saying we are in a Crisis,Cork Hurling should never be out of the top flight.
And getting in a Management team with proven success to coach the U21 team.
    That wont happen.
They believe in the Mushroom theory.

I'm pleased to see Cork go down today, not that I've any dislike of them. But it's change, if Clare went down it would be bacj to last year,, next year Dublin will probably go down.

Clare seemed the better team today, so well done to them.

As for the league, 6 games is simply not enough. Look at the final league table, 2 points seperating the top from bottom...what a joke.

Limerick and Cork should be in the top division.
