Doing final year of Bachelor's part-time

In September, I will be entering my final year of a Bachelor's degree in a humanities subject, and was thinking on doing it part-time. Among my reasons was to give me more time to study the material, cut down on the workload and also to hopefully achieve a better result upon graduation. Is this a good idea, or a bad idea, and if so - why?

Is this an option provided by the institution you are studying with or would you have to change?

What is your plan for after college? Seek out work, further study, travel?

If you took say an extra year to finish would the difference between say a 1.1 and a 2.1 be worth one year less working?
