    Probably the wrong section but I reckon you guys can help.

    My drills battery is dead - like RIP rusted battery dead

    It was a 9.6v battery pack with 8 short wide clyindrical 1.2V 1200MAH batteries inside.

    The battery pack had a part that slid inside the handle of the drill and connected to it with 3 connection points.

    The battery circuit looks like

    B L R
    |||
    [][]
    [][]
    [][]
    [][]

    Im no electrician but it looks like the left(L) connection goes to the negative side of the top battery and right{R) connection to the positive side of the other top battery and the bottom(B) connection to a half red half white cable that connects to the strip that connects the bottom 2 batteries.

    Can I put a cable on it?

    you could run it off a similarly voltaged power supply alright, but unless you have one lying around its probably cheaper to buy a mains drill.
    you cannot just wire the drill to a normal plug and run it like that

    If you connect directly to the mains it'll fry the drill.
    Have you tried to source a set of replacement 1.2V batteries and just swap them out?
    Easiest fix is probably buying a whole new battery unit though.

    "Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"
