Is Airport Genie worth it?

Taking the family to London around the May bank holiday with Ryanair.

Last time I was through terminal 1, the security queues were awful, but I'm not sure if that was just the time of day. Don't mind queuing too much when I'm on my own, but with 3 kids....

So, I'm wondering is the airport genie service that lets you use fast track worth it?

Flying at 11 in the morning on a Sunday - whats terminal 1 like at that time?

Using the airport genie will probably be a pleasant experience but then going on a Ryanair flight? Going from a 'concierege' type service to being treated like cattle on Ryanair - shock to the system or what?

There's only 9 flights departing from T1 tomorrow (Sunday April 14th) from 10:30 to 11:30, I wouldn't bother. Use the money you save for a taxi to your hotel in London.

Well its only 4.95 and you get free coffee which to be honest could save you some money. Im not a coffee drinker myself however. I booked it for my wifes birthday next week as a treat for her but other than that id normally not bother

It is worth it on a weekend if the airport is busy.

    Just pay for Priority Boarding.

    Problem solved.

    Hi all,

Where exactly is the Airport Genie security check located in T2?

Is it basically the security chec for crew, staff etc?

I presume they use the fast track lane - it's in the far left hand corner, just a few feet from the regular boarding pass T2 checkpoint.

Bit confused - what is the Fast-Track Boarding Pass Channel ? Does this Airport Genie service get you through the security queue faster? And where is it located in T1??

I use it the whole time when travelling with work. Mornings and evenings its well worth it. No queuing or anything, plus you get to a security gate usually reserved for the express gate.

If you're travelling with a few kids on your own, it's definitely worth it.

I used it and now think its worth it even at quite times. They tell you if your using Ryanair what gate you are going from as soon as you go though security. Very handy with the long walk to the D gates so you dont feel as rushed when they put the gate up 30 mins before departure normally
