Advice on specifications - Please

1. My budget = €1000 (could stretch a bit if necessary)
2. Purpose = Gaming - Minecraft / TF2 / Fast moving FPS & TPS games
3. Windows = I have windows 7
4. Salvage parts from old machine = Mouse only
5. Needs = Monitor, Tower, Keyboard.
6. Monitor size = say 22 inch
7. Peripherals = Mouse & Keyboard
8. Overclocking = Possible
9. Methods of Payment = Credit Card / Bank to Bank Transfer
10. Needed = Shortly (1 month)

Can anyone with the right know how help me to identify the components that I need? My dad can assemble it for me but does not know much about gaming specs.

Those games aren't very demanding in general, what kind of RPG games would you be playing? A 1000 quid is a really great price point at the moment. The guys here could spec something great for that kind of money, but it might be overkill. DO you mind spending a 1000 quid and getting a benefit out of it for other games? If you re just playing the games listed a rig for 700-800 would do fine. Of course if you'd like to squeeze out the performance in other games then that's fine too.

Thanks for your reply.
Actually it is First Person and Third Person Shooter games rather than RPG.

Money wise, my budget is around 1,000 Euro which is about 800-900 Quid.

Reason for upgrading is that on my current machine (laptop) the fps is slower than I want RAM is only 4GB.

Any ideas?

Is the cooler on Sapphire €15 better than the one on the Joker? Or are you just recommending it cos the Joker is out of stock? It's due back within a week, I think it's worth the saving.

It's worth it. Quieter and cooler and will allow higher overclocks.
