Going into my third year at it. Was sick of AI man coming at 11pm. Only tend to get bit nervous of a cow being seen bulling at 5am not being taken til 9am the next day.

Sounds good, am I right in saying so you just take the straw out of the pot and put it straight into the gun and let it thaw in the cow while you are finding the right spot to deposit.

Never heard that. We are taking part in the sexed semen project with ICBF this year. We have never used as bulls were unsuitable for us so we are interested to see how this goes.
An ai tech will be doing job for us......they must not trust us:p:p

Is the trial with fresh or frozen?

Id say the technician is to stop any difference in farmers ability from scewing the results.

Have a few frozen sexed straws bought myself this year for the first time.
