Teeth becoming more crooked

I first noticed some unevenness in my 2 frontmost upper teeth when I was in secondary school.

I'm now 30 and looking back at photos, it seems to be getting worse. About three years ago I noticed (first in photos and then as it happened) that one of the teeth shows slightly when my mouth is "closed" unless I deliberately push out my lower lip and seal them around it.

I suppose what I'm asking is: is this actually my tooth sticking out more, or is it more likely to be the shape of my face and fullness of my lips changing as I age?

And if it is, what might be causing it and is it likely to get worse?

(I've forgotten to ask my dentist these questions on at least two visits, and I won't be going back to him for a few months barring dental emergencies.)

Peoples teeth definitely move as they get older. Our dentist always told my brother that he had "movie star teeth" when we were growing up. He's 30 now and his bottom ones have begun to shift slightly. Perhaps you should discuss retention with your dentist? You might be able to get a retainer or something to stop any further movement. Trust me, the last thing you want is to end up needing braces later in life. I just got them for the second time!
