Just a heads up that Certina watches, who sponsor Sauber have a full scale F1 simulator that's free to use all this weekend in Arnotts. I had a go earlier and it was a lot of fun. The car looks to be the the 2009 Sauber.

It's a very basic simulator setup, but good fun anyway.

Fastest lap around sivlerstone wins a VIP track day in Mondello, or something to that effect.

Went in at mid day today and there was no queue. I'd imagine tomorrow would be a bit more hectic.

I think it's open 'til 7 or 7.30 pm tonight and tomorrow. Not 100% sure.

Edit: It's also worth mentioning that I only got about 4 laps before if was told to GTFO. My 5th would have been a lap record, I'm sure of it! :D

Is it the new or old Silverstone layout?

    It's just the national circuit.

I was in it yesterday, you et 1 warm up lap to familiarize yourself with the controls then 3 flying laps to set a time. There wasn't a queue yesterday but I would expect there to be one today and tomorrow.

Its just a custom version of the racing sim rfactor for PC.
Its a very old build and quite a bit behind what any PC user can have on their PC today.
Had a go in tesco Naas a few months back, all driving aids are on and the guy there wouldnt let me turn them off.
Its a set template for the joe public to make it as easy as possible, nothing special at all apart from the cockpit :)

Although the prize is pretty cool and the fact that it is a free event can only be a good thing
