I am buying a 1985 Mercedes G 300D and looking for advice on getting vintage car insurance, I have another car for daily use but would like to get insured on this car for recreational purposes. (weekend drives ect). I am only 19 years old and struggling to even get a quote, does anyone know of any insurance companies that would cover me as a named driver? Would be very grateful for any help. Thanks.

Do you have to have a modern vehicle covered in your own name (with another company even) to get a classic policy with Carole Nash?

Im named on a parents policy and their car would be my daily driver. But im looking for cover for a '79 car in my own name.

19 is really hard. Nearly all classic policies require another vehicle as a primary means of transport. Carole Nash might quote. I use them, or rather Groupama, for a lot of stuff. Several free breakdown recoveries a year is good, but I've only needed that for one of my bikes.
