anyone have any experience of this gearbox oil, says it good for synchronised gearboxes, i was thinking of using it in my mr2, i know mt90 is good but very pricey, this is 14 euro a litre, spec list below.

CHAMPION NEW ENERGY 75W90 GL 5 (1 Litre).

    DESCRIPTION
Fully synthetic transmission oil, which can be used in a wide field of applications. Because of its special composition, it is particularly suited for synchronized gear boxes, as well as heavily loaded differentials. The very broad viscosity range, in combination with specific components, ensures a perfect service in the most difficult circumstances. Due to its exceptionally high thermal stability and excellent frictional properties, gear shifting problems are avoided.

    APPLICATIONS
This oil is recommended for all components of mechanical transmissions (gear boxes, transfer boxes, differentials, etc.). of trucks and four-wheel drive vehicles.

    FEATURES
Frictional properties : very smooth gear shifting, no vibration.
Anti-wear and oxidation stability : superior protection of critical parts.
Extended oil life : excellent thermal and oxidation stability.

    PERFORMANCE
This superior quality transmission oil contains selected additives, which help to reduce oil degradation and contribute to extended oil and gear life. Excellent frictional properties guarantee very smooth gear shifting.

Oil is Oil as long as its to the correct spec.

Its just a chemical process for taking it out of crude, its not magic.

Champion is an excellent oil, it's parent company is Wolfoil and all there blends are certified by pretty much all the proper car manufacturers, certification costs a absolute fortune (as against something that's "approved by")

Porsche, BMW, MB, VW, Ford etc are all currently introducing individual oils to suit each manufacturers specific requirements, and the first 3rd party company to produce them is Champion.
