For the second week in a row I notice that the audio on Blue Bloods is dodgy.

It seems to be coming in in 2 channel stereo rather than 5.1. I can hear it spread across the front left and right with little or no centre channel. The theme music came via the centre channel which is odd. Rear speakers are inactive.

Other programmes are OK. Like I say this is two weeks in a row this has happened. Ad breaks are normal with expected 5.1 performance.

FWIW I've an old Thompson box connected to my AV via optical.

I have noticed this too on Blue Bloods. It is very noticable during the theme tune when parts of it are very quiet. When i went up close (i only have a 2.1 setup) i could only hear speech from one channel & occasional atmospheric music from the other channel.
I think the 5.1 has been mixed up & a rear channel has moved to the front?
