    Howya lads,

The last few days I've been getting little shocks off my laptop when I touch off the screws on the bottom or the hdmi/usb ports with my fingers.

    Never noticed it before.

    What do? Contact manufacturer?

Oh, and it's out of warranty by 5 months and the shocks only seem to happen when plugged in (guessing something in the charger port is causing a short?).

Possibly some kind of insulation/isolation issue with the charger. Try asking a PC shop if you can try a different charger, before you buy.
