Hey can anyone tell me if the metal detectors in argos are any use? I lost a ring in long grass on the golf course last week and im just wondering if they would be worth buying. I know the law says they are illegal but I just want to get my ring back!!

If you want to save yourself the expense of buying one, some plant and tool hire places have them, and possibly better quality ones at that.

    They're not illegal.
If they were, Argos wouldn't sell them!

Probably better off renting for a one-off search.

Sorry guys, this is not a metal detecting forum. Please have a look at this locked thread here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055748737

You'll find a link in there to an Irish metal detector forum.
