    Hi,

Just wondering does the tyres on a transit connect van have to be the same load rating on front and back to pass DOE?
my fronts have 95H and back are 91H.
on the little badge on the door it give the reccommended rating as 95 in the front and 91 in the back.

    thanks

The normal tyres on a Transit connect are a 95T IIRC. If you have H's thats fine as its a higher spec then factory but the 91, which is a standard load car tyre, on the rear on the sticker sounds odd as 1, there wouldn't be different load ratings for front and rear on a two axle vehicle and 2, even if there were, the lighter ones wouldn't be on the back..where most of the load will be.

Can you take a picture of the sticker?

You will need 95 rated tyres on the rear to pass the DOE. The front you may get away with 91 rating depending on who tests it.

I also think it is unlikely that the sticker recommends lower rated tyres for the rear than for the front.
