a bit like comparing a peach with a mango.
but if money not an issue, I'd got for the cube

If you can afford it, you should definitely get the Cube. The bike in dave o brien's post also looks like great value.

    Hi there,
I have the Cube Agree GTC Race (2011) and have been racing on it for over 2 years now. Great bike, light enough and feels stiff an looks great. No complaints about it at all.
    Regards.
    M.

Depends what he plans to use the bike for really...

I'd probably buy the Giant and save the €350, or upgrade the wheels maybe.

Cube is 3x10, and a mix of ultegra, 105 and low end shimano stuff. If he was getting a 2x10 and planned to upgrade the chainset at some stage then it'd be a different story...
Giant is full 2x10 tiagra, which I hear is good enough to race on, and I love the look of TCR's. Though at €1700 he wouldn't be far off a TCR2, which is what I'd buy...

Thanks Colm. That's the kind of response I was looking for, with sound reasoning to back it up. I don't think Roger spent enough time reading the post :) It really is what bike represents the best value for money?

So, most are saying the cube at this stage. Thanks for the feedback.

    Hi,
A pal is going to buy one of these bikes but can't decide on which one is the best value for money? This isn't a case of what bike is best, just which is best at its price point. Any thoughts?

    1) Giant TCR 3 for €1350

    2) Cube Agree GTC Race for €1700

    Thanks for the input.
Where did you get the GTC Race for 1700?

I was told that green bikes in Newry had a deal on back when I started this thread. It may no longer be available.

I ended up buying this weekend the Agree PRO (they didn't have the RACE for my size) in my local store for 1799 but they gave me 250eur credit to buy gear there so it was still a good deal

But I wish it was a Race. :/

I got an Agree Pro for £1150. So seems like when you run the exchange rate and your credit for kit it's similar ball park (as you would expect).

I was very happy at the deal and think the Agree Pro is a great bike.

1150GBP ? wow! was that the 2013 model?

Because, here in Dublin, the average price is 1750EUR for the Agree PRO and 1999Eur for RACE. Hence, I am quite surprised with those prices.

The thing about RACE is that with all extra equipment you get (tires, wheels, back gears, and carbon break's handler) is totally worthwhile to pay more 200-300. I heard that those wheels would cost about 300 if you buy apart.

...and the white color looks awesome as well!

Nonetheless, it was an awesome deal you got there.

So you do 'Agree' to be happy with your GTC! :)
