    Hi,
Looking around for a 2nd hand family car.
Looking for something with a nice interior & all the usual people look for- reliable, good mpg etc.
Any of these jump out (or any other car) & why?
    • Saab 93- have one already, really like them.
    • Audi A4- haven't looked into that much
    • Honda Accord- interior seems very nice, meant to be reliable cars
    • Volvo S40- have one, very nice.
    • VW Passat Highline- very nice interior (unlike a lot of other Passats which are boring interior), very spacious. VW reliable but heard of electronic handbrake isssues.
    • Opel Insignia- nice shape & interior. Heard mixed reviews.

I don't like the Mondeos; I know they get great reviews but i find the interior, espically the dashboard off-putting.

    Cheers,
    Pa.

Can your budget stretch to the new shape Accord? If so, that's where I'd be heading with my choice. Failing that, the 2 litre diesel in a Highline Passat is a sound enough choice, the handbrake issues affected the earlier ones more-so, watch for clocked Passats though, plenty out there. Suspension can be a weak point at the front as miles climb, but should be OK.
The Insignia is also a nice enough car, mixed enough reviews on here about them, I think the 130 is supposed to be better than the 160, but I can't remember why, don't have much experience myself on these to comment though, but they're nice in Elite spec, which seems to have any option you could want!
Volvo S40 is smaller, the S60 would be a better competitor, but the new shape is too expensive.
