If you import a commercial vehicle,or a camper you are for a shock;after VRT evaluation, in a NCT centre, they will send you to "Suitable Qualified Individual",(for who is suitable this individual is quite obvious).
So what this"qualified Individual"has to do, is check the original reg. on the vehicle,5 minutes job, filling the paperwork by a receptionist another 5 minutes;for all this over 150 Euro !!!....when asked why is so much, they said that they paid a lot of money to be accredited ,as "suitable",in the other way of putting it, is racketeering by Irish Gov;or my mistake, maybe they consider the NCT ppl not intelligent enough to do this "highly qualified job";but I know in the end is all about new ways of getting your money.
