    Hi All,

Maybe someone can help, there was a incident back in 2002 / 2003 and the person was given a breach of the peace and asked to contribute 200 euro to the poor box for a minor offence, i am just wondering if this is classed as a criminal offence as the person in question is going to be gardai vetted for a job. Anyone know how long this record would stay on the Garda pulse system? The person has had no other incidents since then.

    Thanks

If it wasn't a fine and he/she paid into the poor box, then he/she avoided a conviction under the Probation Act.

They wouldn't get a criminal record from this.

Cheers Blazr for your reply, as the incident was over ten years ago and the person was unsure about the whole process, would you know what would be the best way to get confirmation that there may not be a criminal record for this incident.

Under the Data Protection Act 1998/2003, every individual has a right to access personal data about him or her held by An Garda Síochána.

Contact the Garda Vetting Unit in Tipperary (phone number: 0504 27300) and ask if they can give you a copy or let you know what shows up.
