    Running Win 7 64 bit.

I've noticed the past few days that I can't highlight or drag and drop stuff 100% of the time with my mouse.

It seems as if it works ok one minute then stops the next and won't highlight any text.

What should I do to try and fix this problem?

Are you using any particular software when you see the behavior?

Or is the problem specific to windows itself? e.g dragging and dropping files on your desktop/ various folder directories?

Look at things like, when did the problem begin? Was anything change on the PC before the problem happened, basically any significant event that happened around the time the problem started.

yeah can't drag drop files on desktop in folders either. Can't think of anything that would have caused this.

Is there a troubleshoot I can do?

    try a different mouse ,
eg trackpad if using a laptop

have you reversed the left/right click ?

turn on mousekeys for missing functionality

check ctrl key works on keyboard etc.

Find your mouse settings in control panel. There is a setting in there called "clicklock" try enable this, apply the setting (hit OK or APPLY) then go back in an disable this setting...

Other then that ye I would try a new mouse

I've just used the mouse on my new laptop and it works fine with no issues dragging and dropping.

However, when I connect it back to my pc, I do notice it doesn't perform as well(especially when dragging and dropping).

Can't seem to figure out what could be causing this problem?

    Any other ideas?
