Just looking for recommendations for a good Merc mechanic around the City who wont break the bank.

I know there's John Dooley by the viaduct but does anyone know of anyone else or does anyone know the mechanic out from Douglas somewhere near the Carrigaline road or Rochestown road? That fella is supposed to be good as well but i dont have his details.

    thanks,
    John

service but i have some slight issues that i need to address. Im looking for a mechanic with attention to detail as i have some on-going issues i need to get to the bottom of. Theres a really good Merc mechanic in Castlecomer, Kilkenny but its too far away. Hes very thorough.

I need to get my car serviced in a few weeks and wanted to try someone else basically.

    Thanks,

My mom got her E Class done in MSL in Cork for €179 inc VAT and they reported anywork that was needed extra and she used to go to another guy in Cork. She was a straight forward service though, no electrical issues or anything like that.

And she wouldnt usually go to main dealer but thought they were very good, dropped her to Mahon point and collected her afterwards and all done in a few hours. All I know was she was raving about her local guy who used to over charge her, just cos she drove a Merc.
if its an electrical issue i heard Advance Auto Electric in Glasheen as supposed to be very good too.

I use Mark Murphy in Douglas, so far he has been very good. Sorted out an intermittent electrical issue for me a while ago. Knows his stuff too.

He's not the cheapest on the planet but for the service he provides its value for money.

I think the garage changed names recently but his website is still the same : mmmotors.ie

There is also Mick Kelly on Pouladuff Road.

He actually worked for years at Turners Cross Motors which were doing VW's and Mercs at the time.

    Ohh,agreed..He is good...Very good.

He'd have a lot more customers though if he wasn't so expensive.
