I currently have win 7 (home version i think)... what is the cheapest or fastest way of upgrading this to win 7 pro version.

The reason i want to upgrade is mainly that in the pro version i could backup to a NAS, where on the version i have now i cannot.

    Thanks.

Whatever features the Home Premium Edition is lacking, almost everything can be remedied with a 3rd party solution.

    net use
can be used to assign a drive letter to a remote share

so I don't think you even need 3rd party stuff, unless you have an administrator wanting to manage your pc from their server
