I've gone through so many threads reading about dog food. And getting nowhere. There are to many (I know im adding to them)
Thought it would be an idea to have a thread stating

    Breed...
    Food...
    Price and size of bag....
    Where you buy....

Sorry mods if this is not allowed.

In the middle if switching to raw (week 2)

    Before raw...

Breed... 2 yr old Siberian husky
    Food... Royal canin maxi adult
With yoghurt, salmon oil, egg, various extras added (not all at once) from meal to meal.
Price and size of bag.... 15kg (sometimes with 3kg free) around 55/56 euro I think WHEN ON OFFER!

Where you buy.... Maxi zoo - ONLY when on offer think its usually around 65 (so, less a tenner or 20%)

SWITCHING TO RAW these last two weeks in the evening meal as I've a bag and a half of the kibble to get thru yet.

Not really bothered if it works out more expensive, tis only gonna be about a fiver a week between the meat, fish, salmon oil, eggs, veggies etc. I made up a big bowl of raw on Sunday last (froze in batches) and it worked out at about a fiver. Gonna hit a few butchers this weekend and draw up a few recepies with the help of www.dogsfirst.ie

Have to say... The difference is noticeable already!!!

    Breed: Boxer.
    Food: Skinners Duck and Rice
Price and size of bag: Around £20 and 15KG
    Where you buy: amazon.co.uk

I very rarely supplement his food, he gets a bone from the butchers or a chicken leg every now and then, he does very well on it, can't see me ever changing food again unless he has to go in a special diet.

Breeds: Tibetan terrier and Lhasa Apso
Food: barking heads bad hair day
12kg bag is £36-38 (about €45) from amazon (use subscribe and save to get 10%off) , feeds both for approx 3months.
Also give extra veggies and some fish, occasional raw meal and weekly bones (lamb ribs at the mo from my lovely butcher)
Both doing great on it, had issues with the Tibetan terrier on other foods, he's calmer and better condition on this.

Breed - Irish Setters - female age 5 and Male age 2.
    Weight - 24/25kg each.

    Food - Raw

Where to buy - Dogsfirst http://dogsfirst.ie/raw-dog-food/

Price - I buy in bulk so it works out very cheaply. 10kg chicken bits €12, 20kg slab of salmon €32. I feed about 600-625g each per day. Offal mix added as well as potatoes/veg or brown rice. I do have some of the complete food chubs as well but try and keep them for days that I need them for convenience (like going on holidays)

Also get bones from the butchers (free) that they get once/twice a week. Butcher also gives me free offal when he has it.

Estimated that it works out the same as buying a €36 bag of food every month. (and they used to go through a bag every 3 weeks)

    Breed: Shih Tzu.
Food: Burns. I usually buy 2kg bags as he won't be able to get through 15kg bags before the food spoils. He's also easily bored if you feed the same all the time. Pork & potato, Duck & rice, Chicken & rice. He also gets carrots, green beans, liver, chicken, fish and hearts, plus the odd pork chop.
    Price: £6.90 a bag
    Where bought: Zooplus.co.uk
Supplements: Psyllium Husk (from MyProtein.co.uk). £20 for a kilo bag. Seven Seas Cod Liver Oil. E2.80 for a small bottle from Dunnes. The odd Evening Primrose Oil capsule with his food too.

    Breed: Bull Arab cross
    Weight: 30kgs
    Food: Raw
Price: Regardless of my efforts, it's more expensive than kibble
    Where: Supermarkets/ex-abattoir wholesalers

Feed a mixture of beef (not for human consumption but the dog appears to love it), kangaroo (I'm in Australia - it'd be like venison), lamb liver, hearts and kidneys and beef hearts and kidneys, and whole chicken wings as a staple. Dog's condition is excellent - slim, good muscle tone, fit. Dog crap is minimal and easy to deal with. The biggest change I notice if I go back to feeding dry kibble is the dog appears to do nothing but shite.

    Breed... Cairn crosses
Food... James Wellbeloved Fish and Rice
Price and size of bag.... About €60 for 15kg (though they're doing 18kg for the price of 15kg at the moment)
Where you buy.... I buy in the place on the Longmile Road. I think it's a Petco

The mutts are doing really well on it. Ra's output is as good as can be expected. They both eat it like they've been starved for days, and it smells so nice that I'm almost tempted to try a bit myself. 15kg generally lasts me 6-8 weeks.

Breed...: Husky cross / Some Large Cross / cross pom
    Food...Lidl dry(10Kg) + flaked corn(prada?) (25KG-€14)/Once a week bone with raw meat

Where you buy....lidl/near by large feed store/ butchers

The dry is mixed, and they get fed once a day. the 35KG lasts about 4weeks, I think. I don't pay much attention, tbh.
(We can't afford to be feeding the dogs on pure meat)

All three dogs are perfectly healthy and actually enjoy the corn.
