Your local recycling centre should accept it.

Ring up a few of your local garages - one of them might take it as some of them would have used oil burners and stuff - so may have a use for it, only one way to find out.

    Where are you based?
I know someone that will take that.

    Thanks

A lot of cars don't take much more than that.
How much oil are we talking here? Location?

Edit, ah 150 Litres. You can try local garages, some use it to heat their garage.

I disposed of nearly that amount at my local civic recycling centre last month.
My local one is ballyogan in South Dublin.
    Didn't cost a cent.
Told them I had used motor oil and a lot, she gave me a docket and opened the barrier for me.

Same in Galway, I don't think there is an upper limit.

Ballyogan information leaflet says they will accept cooking & motor oil, no mention of lower limits or charges.

OP, it would be no harm to say roughly where you live and people in your area can then probably tell you which local recycling centre will accept that oil. Different recycling centres have different rules about what they will accept.

For example, if you live in the DLR Co. Co. area you have to bring polystyrene blocks to Shanganagh, they won't take them in Ballyogan.

Are garages still allowed to burn waste oil.... I thought they had to pay to get rid of it... (properly) which could be why some places put a limit on the amount you can bring, (my local centre in Carrigtohil didn't even blink when I brought in 50 odd litre)

I suggest you have a look at the Meath co. co. website, they will probably give you the info you need. There may be another recycling centre in Meath or even in the county next door that will take all of the oil.
