Trouble winding

I bought a Steinhart Nav B chrono II last year and lately when I wind it the rotor on the back spins around and also there seems to be a lot of resistance.

Even if I put the watch on its side and wind it this still happens, I let the watch run down and stop but this didnt make any difference.

Any ideas as to whats wrong with it? I suppose i'll have to hand it in somewhere for a service. I dont wear it much so it usually gets wound by hand.

Winding 7750s isn't a great idea. Even if you don't wear it much, a couple of winds and a shake should get it going.

If the rotor spins when hand winding it is usually a sign of dirty reversing wheels... unfortunately that means a service is probably needed. This may affect power reserve too...

You could just get the reversing gear cleaned and lubed as a temp measure and see how it goes.

Is it not under warranty? Steinhart usually offer 2 years.

These watches have a 2 year manufacturers warranty so I would be looking for a fix under warranty. A watch this new should not need a service for some time yet.

It's actually a thing I heard a few times but I don't remember the reason behind it. It could be nonsense.
