Just looking at booking tickets online and seen this.

I thought as a Première member you don't get charged booking a fee?

Its a new charge, there after making changes to the Premiere Club, discount has gone down from 15% to 10%. And the booking fee applies to everyone.

So even though they're giving you a discount and points on every transaction you make you still think that's greed?

They're giving you something for nothing they don't have to, none of the Omni cinema do!

Also Bargain Wednesdays were still on last week and the website still has it for next week.

Why offer 15% and then change it to 10%, why didn't they increase the discount if they are not greedy? Also why didn’t they send an email out explaining these changes?

Have you seen the points system? Its not like you spend buttons and they throw free stuff at you, you need to go a few times to get these points and then get free stuff.

That’s true, but im paying say €5 on a Wednesday I don’t have to, I can easily wait and rent it or get it via other much cheaper methods.

Have you been in the cinema of late? Most of the time there is no one it in(one night it was myself a herself only in it), so I would think they should encourage people to go, not do it then decide to lessen it.

Now don’t get me wrong I think odeon do a lot more right than other cinemas, but they have done wrong here in my eyes.

They obviously dropped the discount to increase revenue, the alternative would be to increase the price of cinema tickets? Would you rather that? It's not greed its staying afloat and keeping the business open and profitable.

I have seen the points system but you have to remember something is miles better than nothing! They DON'T have to even have a point system or a bargain wednesday and they can just take your full value price everytime if you'd prefer ;)

I go to the cinema normally on a weekly basis and aside from Wednesdays or a new release it is generally quite but that's the way I like it :) And I believe they are encouraging people to go to the cinema with the €5 Wednesdays.

But look that's just my opinion and you have yours, we don't need to agree on it, I think dispite many flaws Odeon or any company may have this isn't one of them. :)

They can do various different things
    • Do a fans pick a classic film once a month or that
    • Do a couples deal that includes the tickets and food a drink
    • Special preview screenings that only premier club members can attend
    • Look into deals with surrounding fast food places to include tickets with food etc
    • Season tickets where you can see a full prices film once a week(UCI had this years ago)
    • They do a 02 priority ticket for €5 any-time, have that with a second ticket half price
    • When there is a big match/sports event on do a ladies night(they done a similar charity event)
    • They have a starbucks in the same unit, why no deal with ticket and a pre film coffee etc?

That’s true and then even less people will go, if they cant fill screens on bargain Wednesday then increasing it will really put the nails in the coffin of Odeon cinemas.

No we don’t, but that doesn’t stop us talking about it. What flaws do you think they have? , out of interest.

    1) The cinema doesn't pick what movies it can air that's the distributors call. They tell the cinema what to play and when.

    2) The Odeon in Coolock do a deal with Burger King where you get a movie deal, a mea and a cinema ticket for a set price.

    3) You have to bare in mind Omni used to do the o2 Priority ticket for €5 but they pulled out as it was costing them too much money, Odeon didn't have to step up and fill the gap but they did and now you want them to give away more cheaper tickets? Be fair to them they are trying their best.

Personally some of the flaws I found were the wait time to get your food can be slow, upkeep of the screens can be improved and more retail options would be nice.

But again that's just my opinion :)
