Where to buy bread proving baskets?

Does anyone know where to source proving baskets? I've been proving my brown and white loaves in tins and that's been working fine for me but I'm planning on starting my own sourdough and I'd like to use proper proving baskets

I've been Googling and as far as I can see there seems to be no Irish based websites selling them. I'm based in West Cork, anyone know anywhere down here selling them? Even somewhere in Cork City would do...

If all else fails I am tempted to go to some local bakeries and ask to buy some of their spares.

Hi there, am on the same quest at the moment. At the moment I'm proving my sourdoughs in colanders lined with linen napkins. not ideal, but works for the time being. Have found some baskets here, but wil probably go with amazon. http://www.kitchencomplements.ie/kc/Main/Search.asp?sQuery=Banneton

http://bakerybits.co.uk/ has a good selection and you could use parcelmotel to get cheaper shipping

Looking for these myself, has anyone tried http://www.brotformen.de/. Prices look good.

Where we all watching Paul Hollywoods breads program last night !!

I was watching it, but my sourdough has been going strong for a couple of weeks now. Buying artisan bread is too expensive in the long run.

A friend from work got me a up and running sourdough starter, so I'm ready to rock. But do need a proving basket. Some of them are a bit steeply priced

I have them recorded, I've watched the first 3 episodes and have loved them! Paul has quite a few videos up on Youtube which are worth checking out as well.

I'd no idea they were known as 'Bannetons', that's probably which I couldn't find too many online, thanks for that!

Bannetons is the name for a fishing basket in France. Same kinda shape.

Has anyone tried Stock, or are they too expensive there?

In my defence I was baking sours before Paul Hollywood, although I will admit to being a fan aswell !
