Isn't it odd the way you think of you're brain as seperate from you're personality or put another way if asked about you're personality you're brain is the last thing you would think of or indeed when thinking of you're brain it's in the third party...odd.

An apostrophe is often used to mark the omission of a letter, without changing the meaning. I added some of the missing letters back in the post I quoted.

    Dualism.

I believe the OP is a direct quote from Socrates on the matter.

Mind/Brain question is an issue in medicine.
I recently happened to pick up a book on the topic while in the library...about four inches thick, included measured scientific tests on perception and references to Buddhism and eastern philosophy of the mind, philosophy etc etc.

Utter mind-fck. I put it back.

Its the subconcious mind that screws with my noodle.

How I can be working on an idea conciously.
Not come to a resolution to a problem with it.
    Mentally shelve the idea.
5 weeks later be listening to an oul one talking about her bunions and.......
POP!! Resolution to problem with idea pops into my head.

Now either implication of that is amazing when you think about it.

ie. Either my subconcious was working on the problem behind the scenes for 5 weeks which my mind was totally unaware of and it just happened to find the resolution and forward it to my concious mind while an old lady was talking about bunions.

    or

Something the old lady said triggered a eureka moment subconciously and in literally miliseconds my subconcious had formulated the resolution to the problem and forwarded it to my concious mind while I was still listening to the old ladies bunion story.
