New ps3 issue

    Hi all. So I picked up a new ps3 500gb today as my old 40gb fat model succumbed to the ylod. I updated with the new firmware and then settled down to play blops 2. I went to download the revolution dlc and How slow is this to download! I had previously purchased the dlc on my old ps3 and then it only took around half an hour to download. I am two hours into downloading it to the new machine and have only downloaded 168mb out of 1852 mb in total! Is this common on the new models? I checked my Internet and all is good. My old 40 gb was never this slow!!

    No I'd say its more a connection issue, all PS3's have a Gigabit NIC so any slow speeds certainly won't be a problem on the console end of things. As an aside, I got a new Super Slim there recently & its very quick getting stuff from the store etc so its not an issue with the model
