I've been having a recent one actually. Everything I record only part records and the info says that it has clashed even though it's the only thing recording?

Case in point is that I had Game of Thrones to record from 9pm tonight as I was watching the City United match at the same time. Around 9.30pm I noticed that the red recording light on the box wasn't on so switched over to Sky Atlantic as I thought I maybe got the starting time wrong. As soon as I turned on Game of Thrones it started recording to the end, but missed out on the first half hour. What could the problem be because it's fierce annoying?

Sounds like one of your feeds is having an issue. Tuner could be faulty also. Can you get into the engineers menu and check the signal level?

I know this won't solve your problem castletownman but GOT's is repeated on Sunday at 9pm on Sky Atlantic so you can play catch up if you get it sorted!.....:)

my issue with sky tv is their hd pack, we recently upgraded to this hd pack for the extra 15 euro a month, so we qualified for a new sky + hd box 500gb. the new hd channels are very good picture quality, but the standard definition channels are very poor in picture quality when compared to the old sky + box, if i change the input away from the hdmi cable to the scart cable the quality of the normal channels gets alot better, but the hd channels go down in quality. i have done everything i can with the picture settings on the tv to get the best possible picture, but what is good for the standard channels is not good for the hd channels, i have a funny feeling sky have lowered the quality of their standard channels just to make their hd channels look alot better than they are.

I found the same happened to me after I'd used remote record. The programme I remote record worked ok but all programmes afterwards went either "part rec" or "clashed.

Reboot solved it but sods law meant it was something that wasn't repeated was the show that didn't record.
