Aer Lingus - Refund/Flight date change?

Hi there, I booked tickets with Aer Lingus for my family in late August. It looks likely I will not be able to travel due to unforseen circumstances.

Can I cancel the flights and get a refund? (even a partial refund)? Or can I change the dates to fly out earlier in the year?

It depends on which tickets you purchased, if it was the cheapest ones rather than the flexi tickets, then the only refund you're likely to get is of taxes and even then there's likely to be an administration fee that will take up a lot of that.

Did you have travel insurance in place when you booked the flights? If so, check the terms and conditions on that, depending on the unforeseen events you may be able to claim, but given that the flight is in August I'd doubt it.
