Failed the nct today on my rear shocks and wishbone bushes. Now the bushes are 30 each new so that's not to bad but the shocks are 80 a piece. Is it possible lo get second hand ones from the scrap yard?

No, waste of money. Go buy new ones. False economy buying parts like that used.

As above, you don't buy second hand wearable parts.

You can't have any idea of what history the parts have or what mileage or wear is on them.

Getting new shocks and springs fitted. Is it advisable to get any other parts done at the same time, strut bearing etc.?

    Cheers

Second hand shocks could be worse than the ones on your car at the moment. New shocks will transform your cars handling.
