I got one too, but I'm renting privately ... In the booklet it should say what the exemptions are...

I just put down my landlords name and sent the form back.

    :D

Yeah that is what i figured, i was curious to know why they sent it to him, did anyone else in a council house (tenant) get one?

The Councils were supposed to let Revenue have details of all their properties - but it sounds like they didn't bother, didn't have time or it got messed up.

thx for the replies, i got onto revenue and they told me DO NOT do this online, but just fill out the councils name in the liable persons name section (A) then sign section C and in relationship to Liable person you write "tenant".
thats it then you just post it off and hopefully nothing gets f**ked up.

Hi lads don't want to hijack the thread but seems to the only one that comes close.

I'm in the 50/50 scheme with Dublin City Council so own half and currently renting the other half. Am I right in thinking that I should only be paying on the owned part as don't fully own the house? Cannot find any info on this. Thanks.

Looks like you've got to pay it all ... http://www.moneyguideireland.com/shared-ownership-and-the-property-tax.html
