Number of days worked reduced, am I entitled to part-time welfare?

Hi all, I have been working for the past 6 months full time. I was told this morning that the business is not doing so well, so that my number of days worked a week would go from 5 to 3. I was paid €350 a week. I was wondering if I could be entitled to any form of welfare supplement (my partner is currently on jobseeker…

You may be entitled to a partial payment, but htey changed the rules 1-2 years ago, so you will need to check.

Yes - you should be entitled to a payment

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
