My phone credit is getting deducted, but charges are not on my bill?

I recently switched plans with my mobile phone company so that for a fixed rate, I now have unlimited calls and texts to every network and unlimited internet. I noticed that my credit was still being deducted at about a rate of 20-30c per day. I contacted the phone company three times last week and every time I was told to ring back because the charges had not yet registered in their system.

Finally, they told me that their tech team investigated the matter to find that I have been registered with a premium SMS service that has been gradually taking my credit. So far this month I am down €8 and they can't say for sure how long this is going on for. I can see the copy of my phone bill online and these charges have never shown on it! The phone company haven't yet been able to find who has been taking my credit and this morning I was down another 30c. I have been with this phone company for 6+ years and I shudder to think of the amount of money that this has cost me!

Who can I hold responsible for this? I have never signed up to any services using my phone number and I don't receive text messages from anyone other than the people in my phone book. What should I do?
