    Hi all,
I'm a first year who has applied for the History Dept's SPUR programme and was wondering if anyone here has applied in the past and if there was an interview or anything?
    Thanks!

    Hey,

Fair play to you for applying, it is a great opportunity for experience. I did SPUR in summer 2009 and I was not asked for an interview. I assume this has not changed since then. If you have not already done so, make sure you meet with your potential supervisor and just let them know you have applied.

    Hope this helps!

Hiya, I did SPUR with the History Dept in Summer 2009 with Dr De Meneses. I didn't have an interview but I did meet with my supervisor after I applied and I'd recommend that you do the same. It defo helped me.

I did SPUR in 2008 and 2009. I didn't have any interviews, although in 2009 I just happened to bump into my supervisor on the train to Dublin, and he mentioned an opening to me. It seemed like if we hadn't had that chance meeting, I wouldn't have been selected, so it might be a good idea to talk to the potential supervisor.
