Booking flights home for xmas

Hey, Want to book flights home for a month at xmas. Was going to stop off in dubai on the way. Checked flights the other day and they were 2401 with emirates. Checked today and they are 3200. 800 bucks increase in like 5 days. Seems ridiculous. Where is the best place for booking flights?!
