I've decided to study Psychology but I'm at a loss of where to study it. Both UCD and Trinity look very attractive. Just wondering which one would people recommend more in terms of the course, lecturers, resources, reputation and the college itself... I also know that Trinity has the TSM with Sociology which also looks interesting, any opinions on that?

try not to be biased please :)

It's hard get a balanced, unbiased view because I assume practically nobody has studied the course in both colleges, hence it would be difficult to compare lecturers and stuff.

I don't do psychology, but many my reasons for choosing TCD were course independent. Location, campus atmosphere and reputation were certainly factors and I'd recommend taking them into account. You will get better course-specific advice from others but what I'll say is I can't imagine you'll go too far wrong with either TCD or UCD.

I've talked to a few people in Psychology here. They're both great courses but they both put emphasis on different areas.

As far as I know, Trinity puts more emphasis on the neuroscience aspect, and UCD puts emphasis on other areas. I wouldn't say anyone is any better than the other, so it really depends on which emphasis you prefer! You'd be best e-mailing both departments :)
