Hey folks, the usual question: looking for entry level road bike at €750-850. Dublin area LBS preferred.

It'll be ~54cm, probably alu frame/carbon fork at this price. Sora or equivalent, better possible? Love to get some Tiagra level if it was.

    Any specific models you'd recommend.

Defy 3, Allez Sport or CAAD8 Sora are your best best at that price.

The giant store in dublin is worth a visit for the defy, cyclesuperstore will stock the cannondale and cycleways will have the specialized!

If you haven't used the 2013 SORA yet, they are really nice, no more stupid thumb shifter, it's basically just 9speed tiagra now.

Expert Cycles in Rathfarnham would be a good bet for the Defy - talk to Alfie! I don't think Eurocycles do either Specialized or Cannondale? I think you probably mean Cycleways?

I actually meant http://www.cyclesuperstore.ie/shop/pc/home.asp for the cannondale, they don't do specalized though, so maybe cycleways is the best bet there :P
