Great Ireland Run AAI Entry Packs

Hello! I know people said that last year there was an AAI tent in the Phoenix Park where you could pick up numbers on the day.

I've asked the Great Run on their Facebook page if they're being posted out, and they said I can collect them in Lifestyle, but I can't really get out there during a working week, and there doesn't seem to be anything on the Great Ireland Run page or the AAI page about number collection.

I was wondering if anyone has heard from the Great Ireland Run this year re on-the-day collection. Does anyone know where this tent / marquee is? Was there a long queue for number collection last year? I've never done this race before & am trying to plan arrival time.

Also, my club have asked for our race numbers, and I won't have mine until the day! I wish they'd just post them out ...

Also interested in finding out if number collection for AAI entrants is available on the Saturday.

Would save some hassle on the morning if I could collect on my way to Dublin on the Saturday & only have to worry about getting to the start line on the Sunday.

Don't worry there will be an Athletics Ireland tent. Queues won't be that big, very small amount of runners in the championship really. Just arrive in plenty of time, which you need to do with the large numbers running anyway.

Edit: tent is usually somewhere around the meeting area flags. You can't miss it to be honest. Don't expect AAI to confirm that there will be a tent, its hard to get information from them...imagine people wanting to know about their numbers.

Thanks very much! That's reassuring. I'll make sure I'm there on time!

    Thanks again!

Hi, I'm waiting on my pack in the post (prob get it today), is your number not in the pack they posted out to you?

I don't believe it. Total newbie mistake on my behalf. Forgot to enter online so seems I can't enter AAI championships now ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Anybody know if it's possible to still get AAI entry? I've emailed them myself in the eman time.

I'm going off to bang my head off a wall for a while

Looks like there's only some limited late entries for the standard race available from Lifestyle in Blanchardstown...
Online entries are now closed but if you are still thinking of joining the 10,000 others, limited places will be available, (up to the entry limit) at Life Style Sport in Blanchardstown. Fashion Retail Park, Unit 425, Dublin.

Apparently they're not posting out the AAI entries (which is the kind of entry I have), but your number should be in your pack when it arrives.

If last year is anything to go by you'll showup in Liftstyle and they wont have a clue what your talking about!

Really - so it's potentially pointless in going out to Blanchardstown if you're an AAI entrant?
