Gun Club Licence Renewal.

    I posted here on the 3rd of March explaining as Secretary of my local Gun Club, I was having some problems with a Members firearms renewal paperwork after it was again sent back to him,this is when I got involved well it was sorted, after many calls to the FO or as I think a standing in FO and asking the Member to submit his paperwork again and ask if it was declined to please put this in writing and the reason why,his renewal was confirmed by a nice girl in an office on Friday and will be posted soon, How is it that the FO is sending off paperwork to the Super to sign off and the Super returns the paperwork asking for a Pluse Number for a Gun Club that is registered as a Rough shooting Club, when there is no such thing as a Pluse number for a hunting Club, now be carful here you do to have a Pluse Number when your Member of a Shooting Range and you do not need to submit a Doctors health report either with your Renewal for the above, I am hoping this might help some other, Rough Shooting Clubs that are getting renewal Firearms Licences returned or delayed, in my opinion to delay or put people off, the section in the Renewal form may need changing or the people processing the Renewals need more training in how to speed this process up, it only took just under 3 Months from the time he got the first letter to last Friday to confirm terrible long I would say.:(

    At the last meeting of my Gun Club we were given a Pulse I.D thats allocated for the club itself which is exactly like your club. If Gardai wanted an I.D Number why didnt they just give it to him or just write it in and say it to him afterwards, they make simple s**t hard.
