Seiko 5 SNK803K2 - Strap Suggestions

Looking for a casual day to day wear watch and have decided on the Seiko SNK803K2
Only thing is I loathe the strap it comes with so I've been trawling ebay for ideas and came across 2 leather straps, same type just different colours.
Tan & Brown
I'm more in favour of the tan as I think it compliments the watch better than the brown but wifey thinks brown..
Would like to hear your opinions...

What I like about these straps aswell is that they are a nice thick 4mm and they are about €20 shipped here so I can have the lot for about €80-85 depending on ex rates

Would like to find one like the one on the Hamilton Officer but no luck so far

In my experience, thick, non-tapering straps don't go too well with small-ish watches. They tend to visually overpower the watch, making it look even smaller than it actually is.

Other than that ...tan

I have the two straps pictured.

I first bought the tan strap as I wanted a change from the black strap that my watch came with. (cream dial + 10mm thick)

The tan strap is slightly lighter in colour than it portrays in the photo and I felt it was more a casual summer strap

I then ordered the brown one and it suited better for day to day wearing.

The strap is very comfortable to wear. The 4mm edge of the strap is sealed with a plastic coating.

How about this....21mm tapering to 18mm, its lovely and its quite light in color

Not using it at the moment..but it aint cheap

Sorry to resurrect an old thread...

Lex - how did that strap work out? Was thinking of the 1st one in your post #8 above. (I also have the SNK803 which I'm very happy with)

got that one alright, its slightly darker than tan but looks good.

watch doesnt get much wrist time....bit small
