Do a trail run , its a handy enough run. It could be done in under an hour without traffic.

    I'd give it 40 mins

Travel through baldoyle and up the n32 and it'll take you 30-40 mins max

From Strand Road take left at the Mall up Grange Road, straight through both roundabouts to N32, that will take you straight to M50, then take exit AFTER ballymun, signposted for Ashbourne(N2).Should take no more than 45 mins.

You need to check what traffic is like at certain specific points and specific times.

Sutton Cross may pose problems for turning right and then you have to deal with the level crossing at Sutton Station. You could go via Burrow Road and Lauders Lane, but I suspect lots of people think of this and you will need to deal with two level crossings.

Alternatively turn right at Baldoyle Road (another level crossing) or Kilbarrack Road.
