You can't put 2 lnbs on 1 dish to receive signals from the same satellite position. Either use a multiswitch with a single dish, or 2 dishes.

thanks for that. how does the multi switch work? will all tv's be accessable at same time. two dishes is a bit awkward

The multiswitch will look like a 'universal' lnb to each connected tuner. It will have 4 fixed feeds from the lnb, one for each band/polarity combination (quattro lnb, or else a quad with an output permanently switched to each).

The switching that takes place in a quad or octo 'universal' lnb is then taken care of by the multiswitch & the no. of outputs isn't limited by what you can hang on a dish.

Terrestrial feed can also be combined with satellite.

    Examples of multiswitches here - http://www.tvtrade.ie/amplifiers-and-diplexers/multiswitches.html, http://www.sateuropa.co.uk/cart/catalog/signal-distribution-111-1.html

For example a 5/16 multiswitch has 5 inputs and 16 outputs - the 5 inputs are 1 from a terrestrial aerial if required and the 4 satellite sub-bands from a Quattro LNB (or standard Quad in some cases). It can independently feed 16 receivers or a combination of single and twin (PVR) tuner receivers.

    A 5/8 has 5 inputs and 8 outputs, a 5/32 has 5 inputs and 32 outputs etc. etc.

There are other multiswitches such as 9/8 (terrestrial aerial + 2 different sat positions), 13/8 (terrestrial aerial + 3 different sat positions)
will all tv's be accessable at same time. two dishes is a bit awkward
With a multiswitch all connected receivers will have independent access to all channels.

A multiswitch would be the best way to go, and u can add a terrestrial feed from an aerial and send it around the same cable and using a diplexed socket split the signal at each room.

A 5/12 would feed one sat signal to each room

If you required any of them to be able to record and watch a different sat channel at the same time, then you would need more outputs.
