The Business & Management course seems very good. A lot of my friends do it and nearly all of them secured a paid internship for third year working with the likes of Intel, KBC, State Street, Bord Bia and others so they have a great advantage when they start looking for a job after the degree. If you do Business & Management do the years’ work experience without doubt from someone that is applying for jobs at the moment having relevant experience is key as a lot of graduates won't so you will have an advantage over them and it's what employers are looking for.

I do a minor in Business as a part of my BA in finance. As a result, I've done a few business modules; I found them quite easy once you put some work in.

The first year modules seem to focus on organisational behaviour and marketing, Dr.John Cullen is one of the lecturers in first year who most find to be great and very interesting. The second year modules we did focused on basic accounting, HR and images of organisations. The third modules seem much more focused towards strategy, business ethics and innovation with the modules being Strategic Management, Strategy & Marketing, Business Ethics and Innovation Management.

You can have a look at nuim.ie/courses and see all the modules.

Any more questions and I'll try to help as best I can but I don't do Business Mgmt. exactly so may not know the full story.
