Don't know if there is a thread on this, but I found this film to be surprisingly good. I went in thinking "this is going to be so sh1t" but it actually managed to unnerve me, which is hard because I've seen a lot of horror films. I think it successfully managed to make the greys frightening, which is something of an achievement in light of all the mythology out there. There were some excellent trippy scenes. While it wasn't an amazing or great film it did deliver on the fear factor. The twist was predictable and the logic of the aliens tormenting the family was a bit ridiculous, although...from another perspective I would like to imagine that the greys being an alien race, have a totally different psychology to humans, and just enjoyed being monumental jerks for a laugh. If you had an all powerful alien race far in advance of humanity, it's not inconceivable that they would troll (which is an understatement) families in suburban America. The film may also be a metaphor for the French revolution, people are willing to put up with anything until it's too late (as in the Revolution didn't start until people were starving).

Saw it yesterday. A good B-Movie I'd say.
Didn't really unnerve me (and I generally get easily unnerved), probably because I found it a bit predictable at times.
But it built up nicely, holding my interest with the story unfolding incident by incident.

    Bump for this..

.. just watched and thought it was damn good!

Not gonna change your world but a lot better 90% of the alien / horror dreck coming out of the US this year, and even on a PG certificate.

Performances from Keri Russell and Josh Hamilton were particularly good.
