its closing down have at least 30% off all stock
    got some cheap stuff there
saying that some of it still overpriced with the 30% off so do your research before you purchase
part of the reason the company is nearly bust tbh

It's not closing down anymore. Even with 30% off its very expensive.

Even with 30% off its very expensive.

I've found BnQ to be the cheapest of all the hardware chains, a hell of a lot cheaper than woodies and cheaper than the local builders providers on certain items... Not to say that everything is cheap but it deffo pays to shop around, I swore builders providers would be cheaper for everything but its not always the case..

    Was in there yesterday -
    • Not Closing down now
    • No longer 30% off (at least the signs were gone)
    • Place Half Empty and simply a mess
    • Staff with bibs saying something like remodelling crew

I just found on 6 items I had earmarked they were cheaper on 1 item only. I got better value in the local builders providers. Again it's probably only certain items but that's my experience on this occasion. One item was €39.99 in b&q and that was with the 30% off...got it for €9.99 in the local place so it pays so shop around.

the facts were researched the shop was closing down hadnt time to stick it up straight away as i have a life and have better things to do
than search the net looking for slightly misleading threads

No need for you to search when you posted this thread yourself.;)

As for telling people to research in the opening post and still saying the facts were researched...its a shame you cant act and didnt act on your own advice regarding research and B&Q.

It was well highlighted in the media that B&Q Athlone had been saved.

Now you have a nice day.
