16 by 28 is not really as mean as you think! especially on a 265. A new pair of BKT's or such will look bigger with all that new thread..
Dual wheels not an option on a tractor you are going to use every day, as just too akward for gateways, narrow lanes and on the road. You could probably fit a pair of 18 by 30 wheels and tyres, off some other make (leylands etc) but the money will soon start to pile up.

Prepare yourself for a real eye opener with regard to the costs

The Best value I could find was the Mitas - 420/85R28 €579,80
    link

    I went for the Vredestein - 420/85R28 - TRAXION85 €657,70 link

If you are in the north east, sligo leitrim, Cavan etc, look up a chap called Mick King, who has literally 1000's of tyres/rims etc. He advertises on done deal quite often. you could get a set of rims and rubber (80% etc) for under 750 euro. Prob. get a trade in on your old rims. I got stuff off him and it was Ok. 0876899772 will get him.

yes and the 135 will pull rings round it, just lacks the torque for it and very fast in reverse it has the 8 sp 2 resverse gearbox, ok on loader duty, and light land work topping etc but for road work its just dead, would fly on 28 though.

    28 inch rims are very small on a 265 - most came with 16.9 r30 or 13.6 r 36 rims.

Anyone have a pic of a 265 with 30' rims on it? just to compare to the 28's

yeah as nash says it is a very good looking tractor on 30 but when i compare our 265 to a 565 on 28 that i use often i would take the 565 anyday, only styling and petal positions are different between the two mechanics of them, 28 win out for me as they lack the hp for 30 to be a big benefit, dont know of the 36 but always prefer wideth.
