Looking for a sunny climate for a November honeymoon. Was thinking cancun or Dominican Republic but I don't have clue really. Any suggestions or advice would be great.

Brother went to Dominican Republic for his honeymoon and said it was very restrictive, as tourists were practically confined to the resort as it had high crime in the areas outside the tourist spots. It shares the island with Haiti.
    So he was bored basically.
Also had a severe case of food poisoning from the hotel grub.
Cancun is more for backpackers, gap-year students and singletons, I would've imagined. Maybe wrong.
Tell us your interests (golf? activities? culture? thrills? night-clubbing? etc or do you just want to sit by the pool in the sun anywhere?)
What kind of holiday do you want.
Don't listen to tourist agents who mention the Canaries, Morocco, or South of Spain for "Winter Sun".
    It's highly unpredictable in November.
If it was me, I'd go Cuba before it all changes very soon forever.

True re Morocco and South of Spain. Bring your anorak to the latter! But some of the Canary Islands are quite reliable for weather. Madeira is a lovely island, but not as far south as the Canaries and not quite as reliable for weather. It and the Canaries might be worth checking out re November weather.

From Ireland it would certainly be the cheapest destination for November sun.
    Not my bag though.
Fed up with meeting people from back home, and sitting in Irish pubs watching Sky sports when on hols abroad.
And I honey-mooned in the Canaries.

I've lost interest in the clubbing scene but I do love a few drinks and a night out, I guess I'd be looking for a bit of a mix really something to do when we're not sitting around the pool during the day and a places to go and eat nice food and and enjoy a night out. I'd love Florida or California but the weather is a deal breaker she wants the sun. Thanks for any advice you can give

Orlando or Miami average 26-27 degrees in November.
Which would be like a good Summers day in Ireland. Perfect temps in my opinion.
Certainly plenty to do as well.
I hear car rental and hotels are pretty cheap in the region.
    November should be particularly cheap.
More bang for your buck too with the currency exchange.
California is a very long haul trip.
You'll not be fit for anything on Honeymoon nights.

Depends on how long you're going for. We went to California for our honeymoon last June. We spent 18 nights there, and factored in that the first two nights would probably be write-offs because we'd be tired, so we stayed somewhere fairly quiet. By day 3 we were raring to go and did plenty of travelling (Laguna Beach to SF) at a nice gentle pace, followed by Las Vegas.

Would thoroughly recommend Fort Lauderdale for honeymoon. In November the weather will be very pleasant and it is really up to you regarding budget. There is something available for every price. You can just relax on the beach or else tour the Everglades by airboat, go to a rodeo, drive down the Florida Keys taking a few days to do that. The possibilities are endless and if either of you are into shopping for bargains Sawgrass Mills the largest outlet mall is in Fort Lauderdale. Have a look at their website to see all the designer stores that have outlets there.

Wherever you decide to go to enjoy and best wishes for your married life.

we were in the Dominican republic and loved it, we went 2 weeks all inclusive. The resort had everything. they told us at the resort not to leave it but we went into the town to eat some days, drink and book tours and shop. We found it safe and friendly. Its like everywhere, you just need to be careful and you will be fine. We booked all our trips before we went over and the tour rep met us at our hotel and gave us a tour of the town which was lovely. (tour prices in the hotel were double)
    I would highly recommend it.

heading to cancun in 10 days so will report back to compare!

Dubai would be a very nice mid to high twenties. Direct flight from Dublin. Live in luxury and style (at a price, but it is your honeymoon). Sightsee, shop, relax. Plenty of things to keep you interested.
